Mainstream Hollywood, UK/US Collaboration, and Independent Film (task 5)

Task 5:)

A. What are film production values? Refer to examples.
Production value, this is combination of lighting, sound, scenery and how these were executed. It is a challenge to create high production value on low budgets.

B. Explain why these are important to both producers and audience.
Producers always want to spend least money as possible and they want everything to be executed perfectly.
Audience is the viewers which will rate the movie.. everything has to be executed perfectly in order to get film a high audience interest and positive praise to the movie.

C. Is there a difference between British film production values and American film production values? Explain.

In Britain there has been a change in movies, in the 1980s and 1999s amogst filmmakers to embrace the idea of worldwide audience.  To occupy a global audience's imagination would be a clear benefit for the British film industry by bringing money into Britain and allowing to make other films.
Appreciating American audiences, or using an American star, means that American distributors would be more interested in part-financing a British firm. There are very few investors in business that do not want to see their money returned.
